The Impenetrable Lie
Fit the Crime Book 6

May 1, 2025
The Impenetrable Lie is the sixth installment of the FIT THE CRIME series. Like the other books, this story takes the reader through twists and turns starting with What About Reg. Babe and Trinity delve into the backstory behind Reg. He is different from the other two boys, and while he was a throw-away kid from the streets like the other boys, they feel that isn't the entire story.
As Trinity recovers from a life-threatening beating in Book Four, The Inevitable Lie, all eyes are on her when she finally takes a few steps on her own. Besides Babe, Reg is the first to see her walk, disclosing he'd promised himself that when Trinity walked, he would come clean with his past.
Reg's story unravels a new plot with Babe needing to right a few wrongs. They find the answers to questions they'd had for two years. Once righting the ship, so to speak, Babe, Trinity, Mays, and Lark travel to Narvick for a few weeks.
While traversing the wondrous country of Norway, much goes awry in New Orleans when a new serial killer moves into the area. Trey, Max, and the newly appointed police captain, "Big Jim," get caught in the web of deceit from previous years and old stomping grounds. The Impenetrable Lie answers some questions; it provides a palette of new obstacles and mysteries to be solved, but the ambiguity haunts his soul.
What was his purpose? He didn't belong in law enforcement, at least not within legal boundaries. He believed in what it stood for, but his methods were far more expedient. He no longer fit in the Corps, although loved it and always would. He couldn't see a life on a construction site, but what? He wasn't an average Joe. His journey would take him deep into his soul to answer the mystery, turning the reader to the next book, The I Lie.
